About search in Japanese environment
This is from Japan.
In a Japanese environment, the input method is used for character input.
The search target also exists in Japanese, so enter Japanese for the search term, but press the return key to confirm the conversion candidates.
The search results are listed with the candidate characters before conversion, but when the return key is pressed to confirm the conversion result, the top of the list is selected and pasted.
However, no other keystrokes are accepted without confirming the conversion result, so no other candidates can be selected.
Alfred, for example, handles this behavior well.
When entering English text without using conversions, it will narrow down the list of candidates for each character entered. When inputting Japanese, it updates the candidate list and returns search results after the return key is pressed to confirm the candidates.
Is it possible to reproduce this behavior well?kn
