For example, in Gmail, pasting includes formatting by default, which is why I was looking for a way to force plain text pasting. Similar to how it works on Windows, where Ctrl + V pastes with formatting, but Ctrl + Shift + V pastes without.
If you open ClipBook, select the item, and press Return, the item will be pasted to the active app without formatting (same as Ctrl+Shift+V on Window). OR you would like to change the behavior of the system shortcut CMD+V? So, when you press CMD+V it always pastes without formatting?
I tried pressing return, it loses some formatting (bold and cursive) but it changes the font, at least in gmail. Not sure if that's a gmail thing, or macos thing, but in W11 I am able to paste it without all the formatting. The font size and type stays the default. Yes, cmd+V pasting without formatting would be preferable, at least for me.
Hey, any update on this?
When you press Return, ClipBook pastes without formatting. You do see that "it loses some formatting (bold and cursive)". It means that formatting was removed. As for "but it changes the font" — it's because the font is set in your email client. When you paste without formatting the text font will be same as the one that is set in the email editor. This is how paste without formatting works on macOS.

ClipBook pastes items without formatting by default. So, just paste it ;)
